Banksman / Slinger training course

G&I Training Academy provides Banksman/Slinger training course based on local and International standards.

Introduction

Personnel attending this training and assessment programme are introduced to various demonstrations of lifting and slinging. The training aims to familiarise you with all the fundamental elements of lifting and slinging. All presentations are followed by practical exercises, which will allow delegates to demonstrate their skills and be individually evaluated by an experienced instructor.

Course Content

• An Introduction to Lifting Operations and the Role and Responsibilities of the Banksman and Slinger
• Working Safely with cranes
• Inspection of Lifting Equipment, quarantining of defective equipment
• Practical Exercises – Correct Slinging of loads
• Maneuver of bundle of drill pipe throughout obstacle course
• Practical Exercises Using 2x baskets of Differing dimensions
• Practical Exercises – Blind Lift

MES Approved Certificate will be provided to each participant upon completion of the course.
