Confined Space Entry Training (for Entrant and Attendant)

"Confined Space Entry" course conducted by G&I Training Academy is approved by IIRSM - International Institute of Risk and Safety Management of Great Britain. 

 

Introduction

This course designed for all personnel who are required to enter and traverse a confined space. This is a practicable based program that provides delegates with the practical knowledge and skills to carry out safe entry into a confined space and to deal with reasonably foreseeable risks. The course is for confined space work in which the entrant has entered a space which has been deemed safe for entry without breathing apparatus. It covers legislative requirements as well as industry best practice. Roles and Responsibilities are being discussed to mitigate the hazards coming from various types of Confined Space. Delegates are given instruction, demonstrations and practical exercises to allow them to demonstrate competence. To successfully complete the course delegates must be able to demonstrate sufficient English/Azeri/Russian language, literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills.

  • Definition of a Confined Space and terminology associated with Confined Spaces
  • Current Legal requirements for Confined Spaces
  • Why accidents occur – Case Law
  • Identification of Hazards associated with Confined Space Entry
  • Planning & Controls- Confined Space Assessment Techniques
  • Safe system of work/permit to work
  • Responsibilities - Harmonizing roles within PTW systems
  • Emergency planning/communication
  • Information about the Rescue and Retrieval Requirements

IIRSM Approved Certificate will be provided to each participant upon completion of the course.
